ILLUMINA workshops offer transformational life skills, leadership, and college readiness experiences for high-aspiring students.  Luminaries who attend our programs gain hands-on experience and the skills to become civil and courteous young people, assertive communicators, problem-solvers, and responsible citizens of the world.
 
Our programs are designed to be fun, engaging and inspiring. With over 20 workshops offered throughout the year, students can find a program suited to their needs. Each workshop is limited to 8 students. Early registration is highly recommended. 

Workshops

Dining and Social Etiquette II (AGES 6 - 9)

Whether you are entering a new school or want to impress your friends and family, our Dining and Social Etiquette workshop is the place to be. Learn proper table manners, utensil mechanics, pacing, and how to properly set, serve, and share a meal. This workshop includes an etiquette project, a 3-course meal at a local restaurant, and a Certificate of Participation in Dining and Social Etiquette.

Dining and Social Etiquette III (AGES 9 - 12)

If you thought table manners were boring, you'll change your mind after attending this workshop. Learn the fascinating science behind food and its connection to the brain, how to initiate engaging conversations with your friends at the lunch table, and the tricks to master a 4-course meal. This workshop includes an etiquette project, a 4-course meal at a local restaurant, and a Certificate of Participation in Dining and Social Etiquette.

Writers by the Sea I (AGES 12 - 14)

Calling all travelers, explorers and writers! Develop your writing skills through various mediums: short stories, poems, opinion editorials, and travel journalism. Daily sessions begin with morning yoga followed by creative and fun writing lessons. Campers will work in diverse hands-on projects at historic locations in Tarpon Springs including the Train Depot- a historical treasure filled with artifacts and captivating stories. Includes a Writing Journal.

College Readiness Boot Camp (AGES 17 - 18)

Did you know many college students feel unprepared for college in their freshman year? Join us for an all-inclusive workshop on how to survive and most importantly, thrive during your college transition. Incoming freshman will learn the basics of campus life, college finance 101, time-saving nutritious meals, how to ease anxiety and avoid procrastination, and so much more! This workshop includes a cookbook from acclaimed author Pamela Ellgen, expert financial tips, and a Q&A session!
